Carol Hoops discusses her rehab experience.

“At first I did not want to go to a rehab facility after my surgery,” Carol Hoops said. She soon realized (after some convincing by Dr. Fifer, her Orthopedic Surgeon) that it would be in her best interest. So, Mrs. Hoops came to tour Evans Healthcare and was very pleased with the warm welcome that she received. After her tour she decided this was the place for her, so she enrolled into the pre-registration program.

“My rehab was excellent; Kim in rehabilitation was great!” she said. “She pushed me, but in a good way.”

“Also, the food was very satisfying. They accommodated me with my nightly glass of wine. Michele from Admissions visited me the day after my surgery and brought me a teddy bear that I loved. I really loved that Michele visited me in the hospital.

“Tracylyn was wonderful. She was very compassionate to my needs and wants as well as my comfort,” she said. “My nurse’s aides attended to all my needs as well. The housekeeping staff was great too. They kept my room so spotless and smelling great each day. They were very friendly too.”

“I am coming back for my knee surgery in February,” Hoops said. “I am going to tell Dr. Fifer about my great experience at Evans. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Evans Healthcare.”
